The Roots of Flores Linda

Flores Linda is more than a floral studio — it’s a tribute to the women who came before us and the blooms still to come.

Our name honors two generations: my grandmother, Erlinda, and her mother, whose maiden name was Flores. Together, their names — Flores and Linda — reflect a legacy of strength, tenderness, and beauty. They remind us that we come from women who knew how to survive, create, and grow, even in unfamiliar soil.

At Flores Linda, we carry that legacy forward. Every flower we arrange is an offering — a way to honor the past, celebrate the present, and shape a more beautiful future.

We design not just with our hands, but with our hearts. Because floristry, for us, is generational. It's ancestral. It’s about remembering where we come from — and planting something meaningful for those who follow.

Meet the Founder

Before I ever touched a flower, I spent years studying human connection — earning my master’s in counseling and working to understand how people heal, grow, and express themselves.

It wasn’t until later that I found floristry — and I immediately knew I had found my medium. Flowers, like people, are expressive. They’re emotional. They don’t need to be perfect to be beautiful.

As a first-gen Latina and daughter of immigrants, I carry culture, resilience, and creativity into everything I do. With Flores Linda, I create spaces — through flowers — where people can feel seen, celebrated, and inspired.

I believe floral design should be artful and honest, full of heart, and rooted in something real. That’s what I hope you feel here.

Gracias for being here. I’m so glad you found us.

Con cariño,
Melinda Barajas
